Jewish Programming Principles
1. Brown RISD Hillel is committed to the support of Israel’s right to exist as a secure, Jewish and democratic state.
2. Brown RISD Hillel provides a flexible and rich set of entry points into students’ Judaism, Jewishness, Jewish identity and Jewish community which are expressed through a wide spectrum of programs and dialogue. The same approach applies to Israel-related programming.
3. Brown RISD Hillel supports students as they explore their Jewish identities, including their relationship with Israel. The organization is a place for students to express their support for Israel and also to question and critique Israel.
4. All members of the Brown and RISD community, regardless of political views regarding Israel, are welcome at Brown RISD Hillel events and activities, so long as their conduct is consistent with Principles of the Brown University Community, specifically the section titled “Respect for the Freedoms and Privileges of Others.”
5. Brown RISD Hillel staff shall assist Jewish students in promoting an array of Israel-related activities and opinions consistent with this policy.
