Vanessa is a native Rhode Islander with expertise in communications and strategic fund development. After earning her degree in English from the College of the Holy Cross , she embarked on a career in Advancement (serving in multiple roles at Brown University and Stonehill College). Vanessa later went on to study Graphic Design at RISD—and founded Dahlia Creative Consulting. Vanessa has worked with more than a dozen colleges, universities, and nonprofits throughout RI, MA, and NY. She has partnered with BRH since 2014, helping to strengthen the organization’s outreach and impact.
