Rabbi Sam Weiss, Executive Director
Rabbi Sam Weiss is a Jewish educator, spiritual leader, and community builder. Rabbi Sam has been honored to serve the Brown RISD Hillel community in multiple capacities: first as its Egalitarian Rabbi and Senior Jewish Educator, and now as Executive Director. Rabbi Sam holds a B.A. in Rhetoric from UC Berkeley and received rabbinic ordination from the Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion. Previously, he led Congregation Beth El in Bangor, Maine, and taught as adjunct faculty at the University of Maine. A lifelong New Englander, he lives in Providence with his wife, Erin, and their two children.
